Manipur wins three gold in National Karate Championships–2012

Imphal, January 28, 2012:
State Karatekas of the Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do, Manipur won 24 medals including three gold medals in the 7th All India Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karateka-Do Championships–2012 held at Aizwal from January 18 to 20. The championships was organsied by the Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do Mizoram under the aegis of Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do India.
In the tournament, state karatekas won three gold, four silver and 17 bronze medals.
The three gold medals were won by Kh Somorjit (Kumite), Th Utarani (Kumite) and Md Amirkhan (Kumite).
Th Anjali (Kumite), Kh Thoibi (Kata), Korimayum Abubakar (Kata) and Th Ibungo (Kumite) won the silver medals.
The brone medals were won by Th Roshibina (Kata and Kumite), M Joychandra (Kata), Kh Joykumar (Kata and Kumite), Kh Somorjit (Kata), L Lectrojen (Kumite), Kh Thoibi (Kumite), Korimayum Abubakar (Kumite), Md Ashlam Khan (Kumite), TM Shahabudin (Kumite), Th Gyanendro (Kumite and Kata), Th Utarani (Kata), Md Amir Khan (Kata), Th Ibungo (Kata) and Th Rabichandra (Kumite).
K Ningthem, Kh Sarju and M Kunjabihari accompanied the state team as officials.
