6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship MAN beat UPH; CHD outclass HAR

Manipur Hockey (MAN) clinched a thrilling 4-3 victory against Uttar Pradesh Hockey (UPH) in a Group-A match of the ongoing 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship (A-Division), organised by Hockey Manipur under the aegis of Hockey India, today at Hockey Ground, Khuman Lampak.
Rabichandra Singh Moirangthem struck home a treble in the 13th, 24th and 63rd minute while Ibungo K netted in the fourth winning goal of MAN in the 57th minute.
On the other hand, a double from Amit Yadav (19th, 21st) and Amod Kumar in the 34th minute gave three goals to UPH.
Earlier in a Group-A match, Hockey Odisha (ODI) eased past Hockey Patialia (HPA) by a margin of 2 goals to one.
Nabin Kunjur and Binod Toppo scored the winning goals in the 8th and 22nd minute respectively.
The lone goal of Hockey Patialia (HPA) was scored by Harinder Singh in the 45th minute.
In a Group-B match, Hockey Chandigarh (CHD) outclassed Hockey Haryana (HAR) by a margin of 13 goals to nil.
Sanjay was the star player of the match as he alone banged in 6 goals in the 18th, 35th, 43rd, 49th, 58th and 70th minute.
The other winning goals of CHD came through Amandeep (2nd, 63rd), Maninder Singh (52nd, 67th), Harpreet Singh (33rd), Sahibjeet Singh (40th) and Hashim in the 50th minute.
In today's last Group-B match, Hockey Punjab (PUN) registered a comfortable 5-2 win over Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu (UTN).
Surdarshan Singh scored three goals (27th, 30th, 69th) while Nishan Singh and Vishaljit Singh contributed a goal each in the 35th and 39th minute to the winning team.
For UTN, P Pandiarajan and M Ajay Kumar scored a goal each in the 44th and 65th minute.
