34th Junior State Archery Championships ends with SAIRC on top of tally

Imphal, November 12 2019:
SAIRC emerged the unit with most medal at the 34th Junior State Archery Championships which concluded today with a haul of 4 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals.
NSA finished second in this championships organised under the aegis of Manipur Archery Association at EYCA ground, Porompat with a collection of 3 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals.

The valedictory function of the championships, was attended by Nahakpam Indrajit Singh, MLA, Kshetrigao AC; BK Sharma, president Manipur Archery Association; Ksh Tilotama Devi, Up Adhyaksha, Imphal East ZP; M Tomba Singh, ZP Member, Khurai Khaidem Leikai Gram Panchayat; Mukta Rajkumari, Pradhan, Khurai Khaidem Leikai Gram Panchayat and M Dinachandra Singh, Pradhan, Top Naoriya GP as dignitaries who also handed out medals and prizes to the archers.
Last day events
Individual Recurve Olympic Round: K Prameshori of SAIRC claimed the individual girl Recurve Olympic Round gold medal making a total of 9 points while Lummila Phungshok of SAIRC finished second with 7 points to win the silver medal.
Ksh Manglemsana of VAA was able to win the bronze medal of the competition.
W Leonard of SAIRC on the other hand laid his hands on the individual boy recurve Olympic Round gold with a 7 point finish beating NSA's N Parithoi who sealed 5 points.
Nganthoiba Akoijam of ACE grabbed the bronze medal of this event.
In the Recurve team event for girls, SAIRC team of Lummila Phungshok, K Prameshori, G Poulinlu and L Seema collected 5 points to clinch the gold medal while NSA team comprising of Y Anupama Devi, L Rabina Devi, H Sandhyarani Devi and H Alphabati Devi finished second to win the silver medal with 1 point in their name.
VAA's team comprising of Ksh Manglemsana, Jennifer Paonam, N Sonia and Sh Teresa finished third to win bronze medal of this event.
ACE team of N Ishwarchandra, Nagnthoi Akoijam, Ak Yohenba Meitei and Sadananda Wangkhem won the Recurve team gold for boys finishing with the best 6 points while NSA's team comprising of Ak Amarjit Singh, L Nelson, N Parithoi and Kh Rohit shot 4 points to settle for the silver medal.
SAIRC's W Leonard, E Robinson Meitei, Y Bairan and M Tulshidas finished third to win the bronze medal in this event.
Individual Compound Olympic Round
Suchitra T of VAA was able to win another gold medal as she stacked up a total of 141 points in the final round of the individual girl compound Olympic Round event today.
UAC's N Beronika finished second with 133 points to win the silver medal in this event while Laishram Dulina Devi of ACE bagged the bronze medal.
Y Rojit of NSA shot 136 points to fetch the gold medal of the Individual boy's compound Olympic round event while SAIRC's Th Surrajnganba settled for the silver medal with a total of 133 points.
UAC's Ng Lamnganba pocketed the bronze medal in this event.
In the compound team event for boys, NSA team comprising of M Malemnganba Singh, Y Rojit Meitei and E Langamba Singh gathered a total of 216 points to win the gold medal while UAC team of RK Priyobarta, Ng Lamnganba, N Bishonath and Ng Pradip shot 2019 points to claim the silver medal.
VAA's team consisting of O Henary, Erwin Laishram and L Johnson bagged the bronze medal of this event.
