Imphal, November 12 2019:
The 4th Convocation cum Graduation Day Ceremony of Catholic Medical Centre, College of Nursing (CMCCN), Koirengei was held at its auditorium today.
Episcopal Vicar, Archdiocese of Imphal Reverend Father Peter Haokip, CMCCN Reverend Father James Tangshel, JNIMS Medical Superintendent Professor N Jitendra, CDC, MU Director Prof Th Ratankumar, CMCCN Manager Reverend Sr MK Renu and CMCCN Principal Chunthanliu attended the function as dignitaries.
James Tangshel said that the convocation is not the end for the nurses but it is a new chapter in their career.
Opining that the quality of the nurses can only be defined when they start practising and attend to the patients, the Director added that the society needs more nurses possessing the good qualities.
Meanwhile, Professor Jitendra stressed on the importance of serving patients with utmost sincerity and dedication saying that nurses cannot make any mistakes in their profession.
Maintaining that there is no other profession which is more humble than the profession of a nurse, the JNIMS Medical Superintendent appealed the nursing students who passed out today to work with a sacrificing spirit and to be punctual.
He also encouraged the nurses to pursue further nursing courses like the Masters degree or PHD in nursing so that they can become faculties in their future.
Altogether 27 nurses who graduated today took oath and conferred their degrees during the ceremony.
