Rescued kids yet to send home

Senapati, July 22 2012:
Even after five days of handing over the five Assamese boys who were rescued by Mao Police from human traffickers to the Child Welfare Committee of the district under the Department of Social Welfare, the victims are still housed in with an NGO based in Senapati.
MANEDA, Hope Center has been providing shelter and fooding facilities to the rescued kids who are in the age group of 14 to 15 years.
The Government of Manipur is believed to have intimated the Assam Government about the children.
But the response of the latter in connection with repatriation of the rescued kids is still awaited.
