Imphal, February 08 2010:
Of the many vehicles currently stranded at Mao Gate following the indefinite economic blockade called by the Senapati District Students' Association along Imphal-Dimpaur section of NH 39, around 30 loaded trucks left Mao for Imphal with security escorts this afternoon.
A police source informed that around 100 trucks were still stranded at Mao Gate.
Meanwhile, with their stocks becoming empty, most of the oil-pumps located at Imphal have been closed although petrol and diesel are mysteriously available in black market.
