Workshop on 'Freedom of Religion' held

A one-day workshop on Lure Proselytization and Constitutional Interpretations of Freedom of Religion was organized by the Indigenous People Forum at
Hotel Imphal on June 24 .
Presiding over the workshop was Advocate Asem Tondon with retired Judge of Guwahati High Court, Justice HKK Singh as the chief guest and A Mobi, president of AMWJU as the guest of honour.
Ningthouja Lancha, Culture Activist, Prof.L Sadanada, retired principal of Manipur College and C Upendra, retired District and Session Judge were present as the resource persons speaking on the Right of the Indigenous Faith to remain Separated and DistinctA liberal paradigm, Inter faith co-operation and concept of Secularism under Indian Constitution respectively, according to a statement of the Forum.
The forum recommended passing of the Manipur Freedom of Religion (Anti Conversion Act) .
