Imphal, March 16 2018:
The 17 hours total Manipur shutdown called by CORCOM against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the State, concluded at 6 pm today.
During the 17 hours total shutdown which began from 1 am today, vehicles except those related to the programme of the PM's visit, kept off the major roads of Imphal.
None of the inter-State and inter-district vehicles were seen on the roads.
As a result of the total shutdown, most of the roads remained deserted, shops and the major markets of the city remained closed.
However, many students could be seen travelling to appear for their examinations.
There are no reports of any untoward incident as a result of the shutdown called by CORCOM.
