Medical camp conducted

Imphal, July 28 2018:
Shangshak Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp at Singkap village today.
The initiative was taken at the behest of the villagers who are devoid of road connectivity and basic medical facilities.
Over 100 villagers were checked and provided medicine by the Medical Officer of the battalion.
Shangshak Battalion also presented 20 solar lamps to the villagers.
The youth of the village have been enlisted into a pre-recruitment training that is being conducted by the battalion.
The women organisation of the village was also provided with cash incentive in recognition of their efforts for undertaking many social causes.
The battalion has also promised to meet the long standing demand of the villagers for a Community hall and a market shed, said a statement of IGAR (South) .
