Imphal, November 22 2015:
A show of Cheibi Thang-ta and Mukna staged by a group of young 7-year-old and above charmed the people on the second day of the Sangai Festival.
The show was organised by All Manipur Cheibi Association as part of the ongoing festival.
Thang-ta is a popular term for the ancient Manipuri martial art Huyen Lallong.
Practising the art not only promotes healthy living but has the ability to correct behaviour, association member H Hemjit said.
Today's Thang-ta and Mukna presentation, participated by practitioners of age 7 years and above, followed a particular set of conduct.
K Shyamkishor and M Mani attended as dignitaries of the show.
