Imphal, February 22 2012:
Siv Sena, Churachandpur unit has cautioned the Election Commission of India that it will join other political parties in launching a State-wide agitation if the commission goes ahead with the decision of conducting repolls in the State.
A press release issued by the Convenor of the unit expressed apprehension that the incumbent Govt might exercise their money and muscle power if repolls are held.
The party suggested the ECI to rescind/discard bogus photos instead to holding repolls.
The party alleged that the voices of some electorates were heard while it was ignored in some areas.
It is also perplexing that though the ECI proposed to use camera in all the polling booths, mobile phones were used instead, it added.
