AR distributes water tank, organises medical camp

Imphal, April 11 2021:
Keithelmanbi Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a Medical Camp and distributed water tank a Darul Yatama Girls care centre Lilong, Imphal West today.
Medical camps are organized regularly by Assam Rifles to cater for the medical needs of the people and as part of the camp an interactive session was conducted to educate villagers about importance of healthy lifestyle and various seasonal diseases, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
The lecture was followed by health check up and distribution of medicines.
A total of 30 villages were benefited from the medical camp.
The Battalion also distributed eleven 1000 liter water tanks to the centre as part of Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme.
The tanks will be utilised to meet the water requirements of various educational institutions in the area.
Approx 35 individuals including Meira Paibis attended the program and expressed their gratitude on much needed aid to the villages, added the statement.
Such occasions provide an opportunity to interact with the villagers to ascertain their needs and create synergy between villagers and Assam Rifles.
