The Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi, LNKR (Liangmai Naga Students Union) has demanded the State Government to produce the culprits involved in the rape and attempted murder of a minor girl at Senapati DHQs, within 48 hours .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the union's president, NK Job stated that the association will launch various forms of agitation if the State Government fails to produce the criminals within 48 hours .
He said that the LNKR has made necessary preparations to support the JAC, formed in connection with the case, in all its protests .
It may be mentioned that, on August 9, at around 5 pm locals found the minor girl in an unconscious state, at Viewland, Senapati, after some unknown miscreants apparently tried to rape and kill her .
NK Job said that a magistrate has already recorded the statement of the victim girl and the names of the involved accused have been produced .
But the State Government has not been able to catch the culprits even till now, he added and asked if the authorities are hiding the criminals on purpose.
