Seminar set into motion

Imphal, July 21 2017:
Two-day National seminar on problems and prospects of teachers’ education programme in Manipur with special reference to implementation of NCTE Regulation, 2014 organised by RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education in collaboration with RK Sanatombi Devi Research Institute of Social Sciences, was set into motion today at the seminar hall of RKSDCE, Asha-Jina complex .
Addressing the inaugural session, chief guest of the function, Prof N Lokendra Singh, Dean, SSS, MU lauded the pioneering works taken up by RKSDCE in teachers’ education.
He spoke about the challenges of the new structure of the 2-yr B Ed programme and said that the new curriculum will bring in qualitative transformation in teachers’ education.
He expressed hope that participants of the seminar would come up with a solution to the problems of teachers’ education .
Prof BN Panda, Dean of Research, Dept of Education, RIF (NCERT) and T Asha Devi, VC, Managing Committee, RKSDEI were the guest of honour and president respectively .
The academic session of the inaugural day was moderated by Dr S Gyaneswar Singh.
