Lamka, August 11, 2014:
Private schools in Churachandpur will resume their normal classes on Tuesday, four days after the Churachandpur District Private Schools' Association (CDPSA) has announce the lock-down of all 52 member schools citing persistent threat and monetary demands from an armed group.
The CDPSA said its decision to re-open the schools was taken today during their general body meeting out of concern for the welfare and careers of their students, adding it was saddened that it was compelled to take the painful step of closing its member schools.
The association noted the appreciation on the initiatives taken up by the ADC Churachandpur and the district administration in resolving the issue, and also, thanked the students community, parents and the public for supporting and understanding the need for a conducive educational environment in schools.
