Sub-Jail Jiribam to serve as "Temporary Lock Up"

Jiribam, June 17 2021: Jiribam District Superintendents of Police, A Ghanashyam Sharma inaugurated the "Temporary Lock Up" for detention/accommodation of COVID-19 positive accused persons at Jiribam today.

As per an order issued by the Home Department, Government of Manipur, on May 28, repair works of Sub-Jail Jiribam in Babupara, Jiribam was initiated by Jiribam District Police to serve as the "Temporary Lock Up".

The inaugural function was attended by ADC Jiribam, S Indrajit Singh, MCS; officers of Jiribam District Police and media persons.

It may be mentioned that as per the request of Jiribam SP, Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) provided 10 Solar Lamps for use in the Temporary Lock Up.
