Imphal, July 12 2010:
A non-local trader has been kidnapped by suspected underground activists from Imphal area.
The wife of the kidnapped trader lodged a complaint with the police, official source said today.
The non-local trader identified as Umesh Prasad of Regu village of Setamadi district in Bihar presently residing at RIMS road, Imphal and running a cement shop at New Checkon was kidnapped on last Saturday (July 10) from his shop.
Ragani Devi, wife of the trader lodged a complaint with the Porompat police station of Imphal east district on the kidnapping of her husband.
Police are not hectic effort to find out whereabouts of the kidnapped trader, the source said.
