Language field work conducted

Students of Centre for Myanmar Studies, Manipur University took part in the Language Field Work, which is a part of the syllabus of 12 months diploma course at the conference hall of Meetei Council Moreh today.
Students of the said diploma course participated in the field work to assess their ability to read and write the Myanmar language that will bridge the gap while communicating with the Myanmarese citizens who have come to Indo-Myanmar Border Town Moreh to trade their products.
Moreover, the candidates who have successfully cleared the diploma course can play a pivotal role in smoothening the tie of Indo-Myanmar Friendship in the backdrop of Act East Policy.
Centre for Myanmar Studies is now opened in two locations and the centre at Manipur University is one of them.
The Field Work is led by Dr Nongthombam Jiten (Course Co-ordinator) and Ko Myo (Language Instructor) .
