Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship inaugurated

Revenue Minister Karam Shyam has inaugurated Centre for Innovation incubation and Entrepreneurship for NIT at the premise of the institute at Langol, Imphal today.
The inauguration ceremony at the conference hall of NIT was graced by Karam Shyam, Maschinen Fabrik (India) Private Limited, Kolkata Managing Director Dr Simran Choudhury and NIT, Manipur Director Professor Goutam Sutradhar as chief guest, guest of honour and patron respectively.
Speaking at the function, Karam Shyam noted that the present day is of science and technology and urged the technocrats in the State to create jobs, give birth to innovative ideas and enhance income generation.
He also urged the former NIT students to become entrepreneurs and apply their skills and knowledge.
He encouraged the students that the State Government is ready to endorse and support those who seek help for startups.
Pointing out that innovation and skill sharing are quite important factors that can generate self employment, the Minister appealed the educated and skillful youths of the State to teach the masses the knowledge and the skills they possessed.
He said that the State Government will earmark maximum fund for entrepreneurship in next years' budget.
Goutam Sutradhar noted that one can start business if he/she has a business concept or start up idea.
He said success is the key word for every business or innovative work while maintaining that success will naturally follow if one takes up an enterprise with firm determination.
A technical session was also held later in the afternoon and multiple resource persons spoke on different topics.
