Bomb blast rocks Namphalong market

A suspected IED bomb exploded today at around 6.02 pm at a paddy field nearby to Indo-Myanmar Border Pillar 79 and Namphalong market on Myanmar side.
A team of Moreh Police, Commando, officers of 43 Assam Rifles beefed up security measures along the Indian side of the border area in the wake of the explosion while Army and police personnel of Myanmar conducted search operation at the blast site.
As the explosion occurred near the border area, 43 Assam Rifles and Technical team of CID, State police conducted search operation using sniffer dogs and metal detector.
No report of human injury has been received so far except for a minor shattering of a window of one Abdul Rashit's house, said police.
