Imphal, February 07 2019:
Local Clubs Organisation (LCO), Canchipur, has pointed out many alleged lapses in the enquiry process against former Manipur University VC, AP Pandey as well as the conduct of the Registrar in-charge of the university.
A press release issued by the convenor of LCO today mentioned that the two men enquiry committee set up to investigate the corruption charges against AP Pandey utilised five individuals/officials to investigate the case and submit the final report.
However, till date no final report has been submitted and this has raised suspicion that the report has been put on hold intentionally to keep the money flowing as the committee utilises Rs 7,50,000 per month as expenses, it claimed.
LCO also alleged that the Registrar in-charge of the university has also failed to do his job and is content with handling transfer and posting matters.
