Eight MLAs have reiterated their decision to resign from the membership of Manipur Legislative Assembly if Armed Forces Special Powers Act is not withdrawal wholly or partly within August 15.The eight MLAs are Govindas Konthoujam (INC), R Ranjit Singh (INC), Bijoy Koijam (INC), Md Allaudin (INC), N Biren (INC), N Loken (INC), L Radhakishore Singh (INC) and Vivekraj Wangkhem (MSCP).
In an ultimatum served to Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh jointly today, these MLAs said that Manipur is presently reeling under volatile situation arising out of the custodial killing of Th Manorama by 17 Assam Rifles.
