Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, Moirangthem Kailash said that they went to Chakpikarong in an auto at around 2.30 pm on September 28 .
After reaching Chakpikarong, they asked the auto driver to wait for them there and went to Mombi village, 15 km from Chakpikarong.
Nanao's father Momon works in a saw mill there.
They went there to collect Rs 10,000, which is the contribution amount of a local marup.
When they returned to Chakpikarong, it was already 6 pm, he said.
As the auto driver informed them over the phone that he was waiting for them at Sugnu, they tried to catch another auto to reach Sugnu.
Even as they were negotiating fare with the auto driver, around 15-20 suspected cadres of NSCN (IM) came there and caught them.
They were locked inside a community hall and interrogated, Kailash said.
The suspected NSCN (IM) cadres questioned whether they were the cadres of KYKL.

However, police did not take any action, Kailash said.
The next day, they met the auto driver whom they asked to leave them to Sugnu the previous day.
They caught him and handed over to Sugnu police, Kailash said and added that police however released them without taking any action.
