Moreh, November 29 2011:
Despite lack of support from the State Government, the Agape Children Home of T Yangnom Village is striving to provide solace to the destitute children staying at
the home.
Located at about 1.5 kilometre west from Moreh town, the Home was established in the year 2004 and currently 44 destitute children are benefiting the services of the home.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, the founder of the Home, Pastor Thongam Baite said that the home was initiated to support the children affected by the Naga-Kuki clash in 1990s. He said that the home is also providing free education to the children under the class VII through his own school located at Moreh Ward No.2 .
He also maintained that the home is bearing the cost of the home's children who are studying in other schools at the town.
By exploring role of various local, national and international sponsors to strengthen the children home, Pastor Baite expressed his wish to get support from the State government.
