Members of Imphal Amateur Photo Club (IAPC) condoled the untimely demise of IAPC member, Asem Sudarshan (Techa), son of Asem Ibotombi of Keishamthong Hodam Leirak, who passed away on January 26 .
According to a condolence message issued by the secretary of IAPC, Salam Rajesh, a condolence meeting of the IAPC members was held today at Handsome House, Paona Bazar.
The meeting recalled the contributions of Asem towards the promotion and development of photography in Manipur.
The IAPC mourned the sudden demise as a loss to the society at large considering his significant contributions in photo-documenting the natural and architectural landscapes and landmarks of the state.
It stated that Sudarshan's photographs had been published in most publicity documents of state government departments such as tourism, art and culture, IPR, sports, etc.
His recent contribution is the eye-catching photographs of the Imphal Raj Bhawan which were published in a book titled as 'Residency to Raj Bhawan' brought out by the Governor's Secretariat.
Sudarshan was also a professional photographer who was in great demand as a fashion photographer, covering different mega events in Manipur such as the Tourism Festival, Miss Manipur Pageant, fashion and modeling events, etc, it noted.
