The Imphal Amateur Photo Club (IAPC) has deeply condoled the untimley demise of Asem Sudarshan (Techa) son of A Ibotombi Singh of Keishamthong Hodam Leirak, who passed away yesterday after a prolonged illness.
A condolence meeting of the IAPC was held today at Handsome House, Paona bazar.
Recalling his contributions towards the development and promotion of photography in Manipur, the IAPC members mourned his sudden demise as a loss to society at large, considering his severela signifcant contributions in photodocumenting the natural and architectural landscapes and landmarks of the State.
Sudarshan's photographs had been published in most publicity of the State Government Departments, such a Tourism, Art and Culture and Information and Public Relations, Sprts etc.
His most recent significant contribution is the eye catching photographs of the Imphal Raj Bhawan, which were published in a book, titled "Residency to Raj Bhawan,' which was brought out by the Governor's Secretariat.
Sudrashan was also a professional photographer, who was in great demand to as a fashion photographer to cover mega events in Manipur such a Tourism Festival, Miss Manipur Pageant, Fashion, modelling etc.
The Staff and Management of The Sangai Express have also condoled the passing away of the young photographer.
A one minute silence was observed today to pray for the departed soul.
Sudarshan was a regular contributor to The Sangai Express.
