Imphal, November 24:
Expressing serious concern over closure of all Octroi check-posts since October 6 putting a stop cork to one of the income generation avenue of the Council, Imphal Municipal Employees' Union has drawn the attention of the authority of the State Govt into the matter.
All the Octroi check-posts have been closed down following disagreement between the Octroi agents and the authority of Imphal Municipal Council over the move to privatise collection of Octroi.
In a statement, Union urged the Government for taking up necessary measures and bring an amicable solution to resolve the impasse at the earliest possible.
