BJP president Nitin Gadkari will visit the State on August 23 for a formal reception function which would be organised by the BJP State unit in honour of the leaders and workers of different political parties who joined BJP recently.
Nitin Gadkari would arrive at Tulihal Airport at 4 pm of August 23.From there, he would go to the auditorium of MFDC to take in a formal introduction cum felicitation function of the new entrants.
At 6 pm of the same day, the BJP president would address a meeting of BJP State unit leaders including those who joined the party recently.
He would preside another meeting with office bearers of the State unit at 8 pm of August 24 and discussed about strengthening the party.
This would be followed by an interaction programme at 10 am with candidates contesting in the forthcoming Zilla Parishad and Gram Panchayat elections with the support of BJP.
After a press meet at Imphal, the BJP president would leave for New Delhi at 11.30 am of the same day.
BJP State unit president Sh Shantikumar said that the party's support to Zilla Parishad and Gram Panchayat candidates would be taken up as primary agenda for discussion with the national president so that the party's support base can be consolidated at the grassroots level.
