Imphal, August 29 2019:
Flip flop notifications issued by the recruitment authority of 10th IRB and 11th IRB has evoked a serious question on the recruitment process' transparency.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for recruitment of 675 personnel each for 10th IRB and 11th IRB was held in March this year.
Over 22,000 candidates participated in the PET and most of them cleared the test.
Meanwhile, a circular issued by the DPC Chairman on March 16 notified that there would be no viva voce after a written test, sources informed.
After the PET results were announced, no written test could be conducted as the model code of conduct for the 17th Lok Sabha election came into force.
After the election code of conduct was lifted, the DPC Chairman issued another circular on July 27 which notified that viva voce would be a component of the recruitment process.
The same circular informed that written test would be held on August 5 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium but no written test has been held yet, leaving all flummoxed.
Apart from delaying the entire recruitment process, these flip flop notifications have evoked a serious question on the sincerity of the recruitment authority.
The Government of India has already made it clear that there should not be any viva voce in the recruitment processes of Grade IV and Grade III posts, the sources further said.
