Imphal, May 17 2012:
FREINDS advisor Kakchingtabam Bihari Sharma has declared that he would launch a fast-unto-death agitation until and unless Inner Line Permit system is implemented in Manipur.
Talking to media persons FREINDS president Sapamcha Jadumani lamented that inspite of different mode of agitation for implementing the ILP system, the Government of Manipur has been indifferent to the people's aspiration.
Highlighting various agitation and memoranda submitted to the Government on the said issue, Jadumani alleged that movement of the people failed to yield the desired result due to misleading information and indifferent stand of the Chief Minister at a previous Assembly session.
With regard to a case pending on the ILP issue at High Court, Jadumani affirmed that he would withdraw the case in case the Court does not pass a verdict on the same before the Monsoon session of the State Assembly.
