Zunheboto, Mon district in the grip of internecine clashes, Peren tense

Factional clashes erupted all over Nagaland today.
Nobody has the explanation for the clashes occuring all over on the same day although clashes betwen the warring NSCN factions have been reported from time to time.
Numerous reports have been flooding the newspapers offices in Nagaland that clashes between the NSCN-IM and the NSCN-K cadres are going on till late this afternoon in Nagaland�s Zunheboto district, Mon district while the situation in Peren�s Athibung area is reported to be very tense.
Reports said that heavy clashes between the NSCN factions are going on at a place called Suruhoton in Zunheboto district.
The earlier reports said that about ten cadres belonging to both the factions have been killed injuring many others.
However, the reports could not be confirmed.
Reports recieved later said that the casualties could be about 4 in number.
A commander of one of the factions was also reportedly killed but could not be ascertained as to which faction the UG leader belonged.
Reports from Mon district too said that heavy fighting between the NSCN-IM cadres and that of NSCN-K are going.
Details of the reports are awaited till the time of filing this story.
Reports said that nothing could be confirmed whether there had been any casualties in the ongoing Mon district factional clashes but reports added "there is a strong possibility that there would be casualties".
Reports from Peren district�s Athibung area said that tension between the NSCN-IM and the NSCN-K is climaxing after news of the clashes in Zunheboto and Mon dist started spreading.
