Imphal, February 16, 2013:
In retalia-tion of the reported case of assault on some individuals by members of Kangleipak Stu-dents' Association (KSA), an aggrieved group of people today tried to storm KSA office but it was aborted with the arrival of police.
According to information culled from the spot, a tombola game was organised by Uttran Theatre Group, Khurai Sajor Leikai at its complex in the evening of February 14 for its fund drive.
At about 8 pm, some three/four unidentified persons came and pulled out wires of the PA system.
On being enquired, they identified themselves as volunteers of KSA but they were unable to produce any document which could identify them as KSA volunteers.
As local people were trying to verify their identity, one of intruders demanded an unspecified amount of money for filling petrol.
This aroused people's suspicion all the more and they were not given any money.
Then KSA, through local dailies, asked functionaries of the theatre group to come to their office by 11 am today.
However, when some representatives of the theatre group went to KSA office, they were bashed up.
President of the theatre group Konsam Prem (27) of Khurai Konsam Leikai, general secretary Sanjit (28) and Thingbaijam Jailor were hurt in the assault.
On hearing about this assault, a large number of people came in four vehicles and tried to storm the KSA office but the mob was brought under control with the arrival of police.
