Imphal, March 02:
Earning yet another feather in its cap, the Nagaland Government has agreed to provide medical re-imbursements to its employees who undergo treatment at the Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Langol.
Speaking to reporters today, Managing Director of SHRI, Dr Kh Palin said that Shija Hospitals is amongst two hospitals out of 9 shortlisted by the Nagaland Govt for medical re-imbursements.
He said the new development has come about even as the Govt of Manipur has been turning a deaf ear to representations of SHRI to grant them recognition during the last 7 years.
The other institutions empanelled to SHRI are RIMS, NHPC, BSNL, NEEPCO, Central Silk Board, MU and Airport Authority of India.
This recognition has come about because SHRI fulfils criteria and protocol laid down.
SHRI is today a 75 bedded hospital with 24 hours service and conform to relevant law of the land, said Palin.
However till date the State Govt has refused to recognise the hospital, said Dr Palin with disappointment writ large on his face.
Despite, this many Govt employees have been successfully treated at Shija hospitals.
