Imphal, September 21:
Kuki National Council (KNC) has warned KSO Ghq and T Lunkim with dire consequences if they do not put an end to their efforts of re-instating Kuki Inpi (KIM) immediately.
KSO is only an interim body and KNC has been asking it to hold an election for the last two years.
But instead of making arrangement for conducting the election, KSO has been trying to reform KIM in the interest of T Lunkim, information and publicity secretary of the outfit said in a statement.
So KNC is again asking for dissolution of KSO GHq immediately and call for an election or else face dire consequences, the statement said.
While informing that T Lunkim was the church leader of KCC, the statement charged him with working against the unity of the Kukis.
Instead of working for the church, he has been working in the interest of some political leaders and misguided many Kuki leaders by forming UPA Inpi, KNC alleged.
If he want to interfere in the Kuki politics, then he should first resign from his church leadership, KNC said.
KNC also appealed to Kuki people not to take part in the Kuki Inpi election.
