Imphal, March 28 2010:
Passenger carriers operating along the Imphal-Saikul route would resume service from tomorrow taking into account interest of the general commuters, resolved a joint meeting of KSO, Kuki Inpi, Women's Union and bus owners association held today at Saikul Bazar.
The passenger buses had ceased service for the last four days following monetary demand imposed by armed group(s).
During the meeting presided by Saikul AC MLA Doukhomang Khongsai, resolution was also adopted to appeal to the armed group concerned for ensuring disturbance free operation of the passenger carriers.
In case of any infringement by the armed groups the matter would be tackled in a joint and befitting manner, the meeting decided.
