UKLF pledges to reunify all Kuki tribes

The united Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) is celebrating its 10th Rising Day tomorrow, March 29. In a message, Commander-in-Chief of UKLF, Government of Khulmigam, SS Haokip has reaffirmed the party's commitment to the reunification of all tribes in Kuki community and pledged to carry forward the cause with new vigour and enthusiasm.
SS Haokip said in a message made available to the press that on the auspicious occasion, he paid his highest respect the revolutionary salute to all ranks and file of the Kuki Army (UKLF) including those who made the supremem sacrifice and their family members.
It further stated that since the acceptance of Kuki as undisputed common nomenclature by the constituent tribes has always been a challenge from a certain point of time due to over possessive nature of certain Thadou dialect speaking group(s), the United Kuki Liberation Fron (UKLF) has been striving tireless and relentlessly towards the reunification of all Kuki tribes since its inception.
The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) firmly belief in the reunification of all the constituent tribes of Kuki on equal term and status for Unity and indomitable strength to achieve any meaningful political objective.
"Unfortunately Kuki soceity as we witness todayis plague with disunity, chauvinism and glorification of one's own clan or tribe detrimetal to our unity without which nothing can be achieved.
Let us recall the contribution and sacrifices made byour forefathers in the past, the valient soldiers of Kuki Army (UKLF) and cadres of oher comrades in�arms today, the tearful prayers of widows and the church members.
Should all these be in vain because of oour self-centric egoism and may other clan & tribe affiliated...isms?" the press stated.
SS Haokip said, "Kuki people from different walks of life to introspect ourselves, shed our narrow outlooks and sink all differences that come on the way of our unitry for a vibrant Kuki Nation.
On this day of the 10th Anniversary Rising Day, the United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) reaffirmed its commitment to the reunification of all tribes in Kuki communities pledge to carry forward the cause with new vigour an enthusiasm".
It stated that remembering theaspiration of our people, their hope and faith being reposed on us, I urge upon all ranks and file of the Kuki Army (UKLF) to stride forward enduring all kinds of hardship and difficulty in the true spirit of patriotism with the highest order of discipline, responsive to the call of duty at all time, until our set goal is achieved.
Finally, SS Haokip stated his earnest plea to his fellow comrades in � arms and Kuki citizens to lend whole-hearted support to a feasible political demand for Kuki (Khul) Development Council in conformity to the principles of Suspension of Operation (SoO) signed with the Government of Manipur and India.
