A book chronicling the 8 days that scribes from Manipur as well as from CNN IBN spent in the jungles of South East Manipur and aptly titled "Khengjoi Chingsangda" was released today to co-incide with the 6th foundation day of the monthly, "Eikhoigi Panthung" during a simple but impressive function at the Manipur Press Club.

Penned by the Editor of Eikhoigi Panthung, Sagolshem Hemanta, the book release function was graced by Prof Arambam Lokendra as the chief guest.
The November issue of Eikhogi Panthung was also released today.
Khengjoi Chingsangda is a book that tells of the experience and the journey undertaken in the jungles of Khengjoi hill range in Chandel district, by 13 scribes including three from CNN IBN in May this year to meet the Chairman of the UNLF, RK Sanayaima.
Other than Arambam Lokendra who attended the function as chief guest, the other dignitaries present included, the president of UPF and the chairman of the publication committee of Eikhoigi Panthung Thingom Mangi as president and president of the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union, Bijoy Kakchingtabam as the guest of honour.
Professor Nongmaithem Tombi who attended the function described S Hemanta as the master of story teller for his gripping narration of the 8 days journey along the hill range of Khengjoi with MPA cadres.
The book release function evoked positive response from quite a large number of people and there were many queries from prospective buyers, who had learnt about the book earlier.
Nongthangna Mutkhrabada : Written by Debchand, this book was released during a function held at Hotel Excellency today.
The function was graced by Sahitya Kala Akademi awardee Khumanthem Prakash as chief guest.
Another Sahitya Akademi awardee, Yumlembam Ibomcha presided while Prof N Arun of MU was the guest of honour.
