GOC, 3 Corps has greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Deepawali.
In his message, the GOC 3 Corps said that Deepawali is a national festival in which all communities rejoice and contribute to promoting brotherhood and camaraderie.
Deepawali, he said, symbolizes the victory of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and light over darkness.
The GOC appreciated the joint efforts of Army, Assam Rifles, Air force, Para Military Forces, Govt Officials and locals of the region in improving peace and harmony of the country.
"This Deepawali will usher in further happiness to all" the GOC said.
Greeting the people of Manipur, Assam, Mizoram and Tripura, Maj Gen D S Hooda said, "May this festival of lights bring peace, harmony, prosperity and happiness in the lives of all people" .
He appealed to the people to contribute towards the promotion of brotherhood and camaraderie to bring in peace and prosperity to the region in the days ahead.
IG AR (South) Maj Gen CA Krishnan also extended warm greetings and goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of 'Diwali'.
May this festival herald an era of peace, brotherhood, harmony, and unity in the state, the IGAR (S) added in his message.
