Animal health camp

A series of Animal Health Camp cum Awareness programmes have been conducted under the initiative of Dr Rajkumari Sanjukta, Scientist, Division of Animal Health, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Meghalaya at different locations of Manipur.
The first camp was held at Manipuri Pony farm, Lamphelpat on March 13 and 14 followed by another one at Mayang Langjingtoday.
These programmes were funded by National Initiative on Climate Resilient agriculture (NICRA) Project of ICAR RC NEH, Meghalaya and organized by Division of Animal Health of the same institute, in collaboration with Emoinu Women Multi-industrial Co-operative Society, Uripok.
A similar camp was conducted at Hill Tribal Council (HTC) office, Moreh on March 7 and 8 under the Tribal Sub Plan Component of Project Directorate on Animal Disease Monitoring and Surveillance, Bangalore, in collaboration with KVK Chandel & Local Veterinarian Dr.Hijam Harneth.
Awareness programme was on prevention of important livestock and zoonotic diseases vis-�-vis climate change and scientific rearing of Livestock.
Besides, vaccination against various livestock and poultry diseases was also carried out, along with distribution of feeds, feed supplements and various medicines.
