Though the water level of Barak River has decreased appreciably, two persons have been swept away at Lairowching and the other at Khongnem during the last few days.
The over flowing water of the river has also damaged one bridge at Biisho besides inundating many paddy fields.
One boy and a man, both belonging to the Nepali community, were washed away in two separate incidents.
The body of the man was traced four days later while that of the body of the boy is yet to be traced.
The boy was feared drown Saturday last at Lairowching and the man was washed away two weeks ago while crossing the river.
Traffic on Maram-Purul and adjoining villages has come to a standstill due to collapse of the bridge over Barak River at Biisho.
The foundation for the bridge is reported to have been damaged badly by the river current.
