FireHouse all set to rock Imphal today

Western music aficionados in this restive Imphal valley have geared up to witness the greatest hits of the globally acclaimed heavy metal band ' FireHouse' at the historic Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal on Sunday.
On its 'Rock to rescue India tour 2012' the American band whose numbers' I live my life for you' ' You are my religion' and ' When I looked into your eyes' etcare popular in Imphal performed at Dimapur on Friday .
With all attentiveness to do magic on stage, band membersCJ Snare (vocals, keyboards), Bill Leverty (guitars), Michael Foster (drums) and Allen Mc Kenzie (bass guitar) landed here on Saturday.
"The Dimapur event was really great and around 20,000 people witnessed it.
The Indians are passionate in music," quipped CJ Snare at a media conference minutes after their arrival.
FireHouse music has taken them all over the world and the band has produced gold, platinum and even multi-platinum records in the US and abroad.

"We are thinking to present 14 to 15 numbers but we will see according to the demand of the audience," Snare said while lauding the Northeast people for their great hospitality and passion in music.
"We feel great to be here.
We feel like home.
Great food, friendly people and the beautiful place ," said Kenzie and added that 'our performance is our motto' .
Responding a query the band members categorically said drugs and music are separate and one should avoid drug.
They said their India (north east) tour is to spread no to drugs and campaign for spreading HIV/Aids awareness.
On being asked about their success, they recalled the old saying 'practice makes a man perfect' .
To the young music lovers of the region they, who toured large number of countries, said three words 'Practice, Practice, Practice' .
Formed in 1989 in North Carolina, FireHouse reached its peak during the early nineties with its single hits like 'Reach for the sky' and 'Love of a lifetime' etc.
Firehouse was supposed to perform at Dimapur and in Imphal last month but it had to be postponed as the Indian authorities denied visas of some of the band members.
Over 20,000 FireHouse fans are expected to soak into rocking spirit in Imphal, said the organizers.
