UCM Langol unit

A new unit of the United Committee Manipur (UCM) christened UCM Meetei Langol Unit was opened today at Meetei Langol Aying Leikai.
The new unit was opened in association with the Yek Taret Lup (YTL) and six other youth clubs of the locality.
UCM president Sunil Karam and YTL president Haobijam Shamu unveiled a sign-board of the new office which is yet to be constructed.
Speaking at the gathering, S Dhruva, convenor of the United Club Langol which is a common body of all the local clubs of Langol area said that they would extend full cooperation to the UCM's new unit and support all the activities taken up by the UCM.
UCM secretary general Khuraijam Athouba noted that Langol represents a miniature Manipur as different communities are settled there together.
He exuded confidence that Langol can take a key role in consolidating unity and integrity of Manipur.
Manipur can march ahead on the path of development only when there is peace, harmony and oneness among different communities of the State, he added.
Later, a team of office bearers for the newly opened UCM Meetei Langol Unit was elected, conveyed a press release issued by UCM IPR secretary BM Yaima.
