Governor CM greets Teachers on Teachers' Day

Manipur Governor Dr.Najma Heptulla and Chief Minister N.Biren Singh extend warm greetings to teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day 2019 .
In his message Chief Minister said that teachers shape children into responsible citizens, and thus shape the nation.
The future of a nation therefore lies in the hand of teachers.
The 5th of September is celebrated as Teachers' Day every year across the country in commemoration of the birthday of late Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President and the second President of India.
It is a tribute to the contribution made by teachers towards society.
Chief Minister further said that in celebrating Teacher's Day, we respectfully pay homage to late Dr.S.Radhakrishnan, a philosopher and a teacher par excellence.
He appealed to the teaching community of the State to draw inspiration from Dr.S.Radhakrishnan and discharge their duties, with a renewed sense of dedication and commitment .
