Imphal, September 04 2019:
The JAC formed in connection with the mysterious death of N Babysana has appealed to the student community to protest by wearing black badges to class and for the passenger service operators to hoist black flags on their vehicles as sign of protest against the failure of the Government to provide justice for N Babysana.
A statement issued by the convenor in-charge of the JAC today strongly condemned the failure of the State Government to bring a definitive conclusion to the issue till date even though it is actively trying to arrest the members of the JAC.
Urging the Government to fulfil its demands at the earliest, the JAC conveyed that arresting its members will not be able to solve the issue.
Demanding the Government to release the arrested members immediately, it warned that the problem will only intensify if the State Government remains adamant and stubborn.
It also demanded the authorities concerned to immediately halt attempts to arrest the family members of the deceased.
On the other hand, the JAC appealed to the students to wear black badges to class and for the passenger service operators to put black flags on their vehicles as a sign of protest.
