The Revolutionary People's Front and its armed wing PLA have offered revolutionary salute to Sorokhaibam Chaobi alias Sgt Dhaneshwor s/o S Maimu of Iram Siphai Mayai Leikai and its former cadre Mayengbam Nandakumar (28) alias Johnson (Yaiphaba) s/o Ibohal of Wabagai.
Chaobi and Johnson passed away in an unfortunate incident on December 27 night, said a statement released by RPF's department of communication and publicity chief N Wangba while informing that Johnson was a dismissed PLA cadre (A-No 1900 L/Cpl).
Dhaneshwor born in 1978 was deeply devoted to public cause getting involved in local club activities from a tender age before joining the RPF/PLA on January 12, 1998, said the statement.
In addition to highlighting Dhaneshwor's contribution to the revolutionary movement as a PLA cadre, the statement explained that despite Johnson being dismissed from the party fold on December 12, 2005 his demise in the unfortunate incident is still held in high esteem by the organisation as an ex-PLA and deserve revolutionary salutes.
RPF also shares the sorrow of the bereaved families, said the statement.
