Saikul MLA launches mobile Covid vaccination, assures reward to fully vaccinated villages

Saikul MLA, Yamthong Haokip today launched 'Mobile/Outreach Covid vaccination' to boost the Covid vaccination drive in Saikul Assembly Constituency.
The launching programme was attended by SDO Saikul, SDO Lhungtin, SDO Island, MO incharge of CHC Saikul, PHC Maphou, OC Saikul and leaders of Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai, KSO Saikul, KWU Saikul, Kuki Inpi Phailengmoul, KSO Phailengmoul, KSO Bungpi, YUWA, Saikul Hill Town Committee, Konghom Area Chief Association, Satang Area Chief Association and Mapao Area Union, etc.
It was held at E Mulam village, where more than 65 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated with Covishield.
During the programme, Yamthong Haokip with an aim to motivate and increase the vaccination percentage in Saikul AC, announced that the first fully vaccinated village in Saikul AC would be awarded with a cash reward of Rs 40,000, second fully vaccinated village with Rs 20,000 and third fully vaccinated village with Rs 10,000.The MLA also announced to reward the Best Performing Covid Task Force with a .
cash award amounting to Rs 10,000-30,000.In a joint meeting with Saikul AC COVID Awareness cum JOINT Enforcement Committee along with the CSOs under Saikul, Yamthong Haokip said that as decided in the previous meeting, the CSOs are entrusted the responsibility to ensured that COVID related activities like Mass Testing, Containment Measures, Vaccination, arrangement of Village Isolation Centre in collaboration with concerned Department Officials/the A/C COVID Awareness-cum-Enforcement Committee.
While appreciating the active participation of the CSOs in the fight against the pandemic, the MLA appealed to all the CSOs to continue their noble efforts.
He also informed that the 17 COVID Task Force under Saikul AC have been approved by the Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi and these 17 cluster wise COVID Task.
Force would need to work under the guidance of the CSOs active in each cluster, who would serve as the Coordinator to the Cluster wise CTF.
The MLA then instructed the SDO and MO In-charge concerned to arrange an Orientation Session to all the members of CTF and the CSOs concerned within 3 days.
He also appealed to all the concerned Department to work in tandem with the local CSOs and all the 17 Cluster Wise COVID Task Force in all the COVID related activities like Advocacy/Awareness & COVID Vaccination, Mass Testing, Containment Measures, Home Isolation Management, etc.
The Medical Officer Incharge, CHC Saikul, Dr John Lupheng briefed the CSOs leaders on the roles and responsibilities of being a Coordinator to the Cluster Wise COVID Task Force and emphasized on the important roles of the local CSOs in undertaking COVID related activities in the Community as the fights of the pandemic required holistic approach.
Representatives of the CSOs also highlighted the need for increased Advocacy/Awareness programme on Vaccination and to boost up the vaccination in the Assembly Segment.
and for that matter to conduct Advocacy on COVID Vaccination in all the 3 blocks under Saikul AC.
Among many others, it was also decided to have a Village Isolation Centre in all villages under Saikul A/C to accommodate Asymptomatic/Mildly symptomatic COVID cases.
