Distribution of relief items continues

Several individuals and organizations continue to extend help to all sections of people especially to those who have been impacted badly by the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the State in order to provide some relief during this difficult phase.
Imphal West
All Manipur United Clubs Organisation (AMUCO) in association with Chingphu Road United Clubs Organisation (CRUCO) which is a group of local cltibs of Kwakeithel.
Sangaiprou Mamang Leikai and Mongshangei distributed hand sanitizers and face masks to Community Home Isolation Centres (CHIC) opened at Pitambara English School, Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School and Malom Megha High School in Naoriya P'akhanglakpa Assembly Constituency today.
A press release by AMUCO said that later CRUCO also distributed edible items to around 140 households within its jurisdiction.
It may be mentioned that local clubs which are the members of CRUCO have formed joint task forces and have been extending all possible help to combat the second wave of COVID-19 effectively in their areas concerned.

Relief items were distributed to differently abled persons and who have been bedridden due to certain ailments in Uripok Bachaspati Leikai today.
The items were distributed by Khumbongmayum Suresh who is the intending candidate in the upcoming State Assembly Election from Urikpok Assembly Constituency.
K Suresh also distributed steam inhalers to certain households as per their requirements, said a statement by PRO of K Suresh.

Members of BJP Manipur State Council and Covid-19 Second Wave Fighting Task Force under the aegis of chairman of BJP Lamlai Mandal, Kh Ibomcha extended monetary aid to local task forces and donated edible items to Community Isolation Centres opened at Sanjenbam Community Hall and Takhel Sanjenbam High School today The team also distributed edible items to households under home isolation at Kamnongput, Sangsabi, Nongada, Sheijang, Yaingangpokpi, Nungoi Mayai Leikai, Nungoi Awang Leikai and Community Home Isolation Centres-opened at BeKom High School and Kameng Primary School.

Speaking on the sidelines, pradhan of Waiton Gram Panchayat, Pukhrambam Surbala said that due to the curfew and restrictions imposed by the State to contain the spread of CQVID-19 pandemic, many are going through a difficult time since they are deprived of their regular source of income.
Therefore, with an aim to provide some relief to the suffering locals, the initiative of distributing, edible items was started on June 3 and all the households within the Panchayat will be covered gradually, she added.
