CAF&PD issues order for procuring OMSS (D) rice

Imphal, June 05 2021:
CAF&PD deputy secretary Robertson Asem in an order has notified that interested individuals and organisations can procure 3200 metric tonne of OMSS (D) rice through respective deputy commissioners for distribution to people who are not beneficiaries under NFSA or for other relief works during Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the order, the rice has been allotted at the rate of 5 kg per person.
The district wise allocation is 500 quintal for Jiribam district, 1500 quintal for Kangpokpi, 3000 quintal for Bishnupur district, 500 quintal for Tengnoupal district, 500 quintal for Chandel district, 1000 quintal for Pherzawl district, 2000 quintal for Churachandpur district, 4750 quintal for Imphal East, 6750 quintal for Imphal West, 1500 quintal for Senapati, 500 quintal for Noney, 1000 quintal for Tamenglong, 2000 quintal for Kakching, 3000 quintal for Thoubal, 1000 quintal for Ukhrul, 500 quintal for Kamjong and 2000 quintal for Directorate Pool.
DC concerned can write an official application to CAF&PD director for the allocation after which the rice can be lifted from the FCI Depots.
The transportation charge of the rice should be borne by beneficiaries or by authority concerned, while the funds for the rice bought at the price of Rs 20/kg should be transferred only from official DC account to FCI Imphal Manipur SBI account number 10929490042 as cash and money transferred from unofficial account will not be accepted by FCI, it informed.
The order mentioned that DC concerned should submit utilisation certificate to CAF&PD after selling the rice at Rs 20/kg.District administration should also oversee the days of distribution, allocated quantity, ben- eficiaries/family, beneficiaries of relief aid, issue price and period of distribution.
The 2000 quintal allocated for Director Pool can be sold at the additional margin of Rs 21/kg, it added.
