PNB donates three infusion pumps to RIMS

Punjab National Bank, Lamphelpat Branch (RIMS campus) on Thursday donated three infusion pumps for use in the ICU ward of RIMS as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
In a release, RIMS media advisor N Phillip Singh informed that the handing over of the equipment was made by the Bank's branch chief manager Nirmala Ngangkham and senior manager Luankhum Guite in the presence of chief manager state coordinator of Manipur Stevan Aimol.
The bank also assured of continuous assistance in the future as part of the CSR activities and also to uplift the society.
The medical equipment were received by RIMS director Prof A Santa Singh in the presence of deputy medical superintendent Prof Th Sachin Deba Singh and assistant medical superintendent Dr Y Arunkumar Singh, said the release.
An infusion pump is a medical device that delivers fluids, such as nutrients and medications like insulin or other hormones, antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, and pain relievers into a patient's body in controlled amounts.
Infusion pumps offer significant advantages over manual administration of fluids, including the ability to deliver fluids in very small volumes, and the ability to deliver fluids at precisely programmed rates or automated intervals.
