RIMS VRDL resumes operation

The VRDL of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has resumed normal work operation from Saturday after servicing/repairing of the Biosafety Cabinet.
Informing that a new Biosafety Cabinet has also been installed at RIMS VRDL, a circular issued by RIMS State Level VRDL principal Investigator Prof Kh Sulochana Devi said Biosafety Cabinet is essential for the VRDL staff to safely handle/process samples collected for Covid-19 tests as they are very contagious.
RIMS VRDL team has been working relentlessly with no Sundays and holidays since the onset of the pandemic, assisting the state in containment of the deadly virus and so far 1,17,955 RT- PCR test have been done at RIMS VRDL, Prof Sulochana elaborated.
On behalf of the VRDL team, she also commended the engineers from Guwahati for arriving within short notice in such difficult times and repairing the Biosafety Cabinet.
